Gravy Nuggets


  • 500g nuggets
  • 2 onion
  • 1 tin tomatoes
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt, red and black pepper as per taste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • A pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • A few coriander leaves
  • 250ml water


  1. Cut nuggets in very small pieces.
  2. Wash nuggets in boiling water to remove oil.
  3. Peel onion and blend it.
  4. Sauté onion, ginger and garlic till light brown.
  5. Add tomatoes, nuggets, spices and cook till mixture is dry and roast for another 5 minutes to make the mixture crispy.
  6. Add water and simmer for 10 minutes.

Garnish with Coriander Leaves

Nuggets are made from soybeans and are imported from Malaysia in the frozen form. They are rich in proteins and palm oil. The fat can be easily removed by washing nuggets in boiling water before cooking. Nuggets are good source of protein for vegetarians and are used in many recipes.
