Boiled Colocasia


  • 500g colocasia
  • 100g spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • Salt, red and black pepper as per taste
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 2 tbsp oil


  1. Wash colocaisa and boil till tender.
  2. Peel colocaisa and cut in bigger pieces.
  3. Peel onion and cut into thin slices.
  4. Sauté onion and ginger to light brown and add diced spinach and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add all spices and tomato sauce.
  6. Mix in colocasia and cook on slow fire with occasional stirring for 15- 20 minutes till light brown colour.

Serve with Chapatti or Naan
