Sprouted Dal Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup green lentils
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • A few leaves coriander
  • 2tb sp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper as per taste
  • 1 boiled potato (optional)

Method:

  1. Soak lentils over night.
  2. Tie the lentils in muslin cloth and hang at warm place, preferably on the side of tape.
  3. Chop cucumber, tomato, onion, potato and coriander leaves.
  4. Lentils will sprout in a day or two, when the sprout is around 1cm in length, steam in pressure cooker or sauté in a pan with 1 tsp of oil.
  5. Mix lentils with chopped salad mixture and add salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  6. Serve cool.
