Paneer balls in Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 250g paneer
  • 100g evaporated milk powder
  • 2 onions
  • ½ tin tomatoes
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp garlic
  • 6-7 cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 cups light milk
  • 1tbsp light cream
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt, red and black pepper as per taste
  • ¼ bunch coriander leaves
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Grate paneer and mix in salt.
  2. Mix corn flour and milk powder to make a dough using water.
  3. Flatten 1 tsp of dough on palm and fill in small amount of grated paneer to make balls.
  4. Fry these balls in hot oil till golden brown.
  5. Blend onion, tomatoes, ginger and garlic in the blender.
  6. Sauté this mixture till it is dark brown in colour.
  7. Add spices and cook for 5 more minutes.
  8. Mix in milk to make a thick gravy and cook for 10 minutes.
  9. Mix in balls in the gravy and cook for 2 minutes.Garnish with Cream and Coriander leaves.
