Dum Cauliflower


  • 500g cauliflower
  • 100g tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1 onion
  • ½ tsp each of ginger and garlic
  • Salt, red and black pepper as per taste
  • A few coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp oil


  1. Wash cauliflower and prick with a fork.
  2. Mix yoghurt, salt and black pepper.
  3. Rub this mixture on the cauliflower and keep it for marination till ½ an hour.
  4. Sauté cauliflower in 1 tbsp. of oil with cover to light brown colour.
  5. Blend onion and sauté onion, ginger and garlic to light brown colour.
  6. Add tomato puree and cauliflower and cover.
  7. Cook on low heat till cauliflower is tender and then on high flame to make it dry and crispy.

Garnish with Coriander leaves
