Barfi
Ingredients
- 1 cup bengal gram flour
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup water
- ½ tsp black cardamom
- 2 tbsp almonds
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¾ cup sugar
Method
- Add water, milk and sugar in a pan.
- Boil the mixture and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix crushed cardamom to the boiled mixture.
- Sauté butter and Bengal gram flour till light brown.
- Add in sugar syrup with constant stirring to avoid lumps.
- Continue cooking until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Pour the mixture on a greased flat plate and spread crushed almonds on the top.
- Allow it to cool.
- Cut into squares.
Serve with tea
