Date and Walnut Cake (Eggless)
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cup self-raising powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 60g butter
- 50g pitted dates
- 50g walnuts
- 1 tbsp yoghurt
- ½ tsp sodium bicarbonate
Method
- Cut dates and walnuts into small pieces.
- Preheat oven at 180º C.
- Place dates, butter and bicarbonate in 1 cup of boiling for 15 minutes.
- Mix sugar, self-rising flour, walnuts and yoghurt and stir well.
- Add date mixture in the above ingredients and mix properly.
- Pour mixture in the baking paper greased in the baking tray and bake for 40 minutes.
- Cool for 5 minutes.
Slice and Serve with Ice Cream
