Colocasia in Gravy
Ingredients
- 500g colocasia
- 1 onion
- ½ tin tomato
- ½ tsp ginger
- ½ tsp garlic
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt and black pepper as per taste
- 2 green chillies
- 2 tsp oil
- A few coriander leaves
- 500ml water
Method
- Peel colocasia and wash it.
- Dry with paper towel.
- Dice colocasia length wise in big slices.
- Sauté colocasia till brown in colour.
- Peel onion and dice very finally.
- Sauté onion with ginger and garlic till golden brown.
- Add tomato puree, green chillies and spices and cook till it leaves oil.
- Mix in water and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add fried colocasia and cook for 5 minutes until tender.
Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
